To check and calculate your level of creatinine

Cockcroft and Gault's formula

The clearance of the creatinine is measured in the urines after 24-hour-old. This is the most suitable way to assess the renal function.

The calculation of the clearance (CrCl) of the creatinine is in clinical practice makes it possible to evaluate the glomerular filtration rate.
It is calculated with the Cockroft and Gault's formula based on the creatininaemia (Scr) and according to the weight (in kg), the age (in years) and the sex of the patient.

For a man
Crcl = (140 - age) x weight in ml/mn
7,2 x Scr(mg/l)
For a woman
Crcl = (140 - age) x weight 0,85 in ml/mn
7,2 x Scr(mg/l)

Calculate your Crcl

You are ?  a man  a woman

Your weight ? kg.
Your age ? years old.
Your creatininaemia (Scr) * ?
in mg/l* mg/l
or in µmol/l* µmol/l
* : Please fill only one of the fields

Result : Your calculated clearance of creatinine (Crcl) is :
ml/mn.
